The Maldives is hedonism at its best – laze around in your private island. Endless beaches, myriad sea sport options, lovely food, lovelier views… and best of all, privacy to be yourself by yourself or with your partner, in a luxurious cocoon, cut away from the madding world… We would like to have no specific agenda for you – after all the idea is to chill! So you can get there, evaluate the options of sea-sports, city visits, fishing boat trips, etc., and decide if you want to avail of any of them… These will be optional and at your discretion and choice, though some of them may be complimentary (like the usage of the floating beds, etc)

Mount Kailash by road

Recommended Experiences

Mount-Kailash

It is known as the abode of Lord Shiva, the greatest Yogi of all times. The Hindu mythological scriptures talk about the life of Lord Shiva in the Kailash Parvat. Looking like a symmetrical cone shaped rock; this perennially ice-capped mountain dominates the Himalayan Barrier and is of great spiritual significance for Hindus, Buddhists, Jains and Bon-Po (the traditional religion of the region). It is also said that, time travels quickly at Kailash Parvat. Travelers and scientists had witnessed the rapid growth of their hairs and nails and scientists are still digging the reason behind that.

This is indeed the trip of a lifetime, a dream for many… And now a blessing for those who aren’t avid trekkers, since it involves no trekking (unless one does the Parikrama which can be by trekking or mule).

Mount-Kailash

For Hindus, Mount Kailash is the abode of Lord Shiva. For Buddhists, the place is an embodiment of Lord Buddha. The first Jain saint, Adinath received his emancipation at this place. For the Bons, their saint Shenrad is said to have descended on this very peak. While Mount Kailash is bound by faith and wrapped in Nature’s arm, the travellers to Kailash are not only people with deep religious beliefs and sentiments, but people in search of adventure also.

The other important site near Kailash is Lake Mansarovar, which as per legend was created by Lord Brahma himself.  Besides, Lake Mansarovar, there is another lake called Rakshas Tal which is located next to the Mansarovar Lake but is separated from it by a thin isthmus of mountains. While the Lake Mansarovar remains calm under every kind of weather conditions, the Rakhshas Tal is consistently stormy. These twin lakes carry a spiritual significance and are considered to be the symbols of the difference between the good and the bad.
