From there, we venture to Khiva, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a true living museum. Step back in time as we wander through the winding streets of this ancient Silk Road city, adorned with majestic minarets, ornate mosques, and captivating palaces. Next, we journey to Bukhara, another UNESCO gem and one of Central Asia’s most historically significant cities. Here, centuries-old architecture tells tales of empires and dynasties long past. Continuing our expedition, we reach the serene Aydarkul Lake, a hidden oasis amidst the arid landscape. Our destination is the legendary city of Samarkand, where history and splendour converge in breathtaking fashion. As the jewel of the Silk Road, Samarkand has hosted great conquerors and poets alike. Throughout our tour, you’ll be captivated by the warm hospitality of the Uzbek people and their deep-rooted traditions.

Day 1 - Tashkent: Capital of Uzbekistan
Visit the Imam Square where you can delve into the fascinating history of the Barak Khan Madrassah, Tillya Sheykh Mosque, the district Friday Mosque, and the mausoleum of Kafal Shashi. You should never forget to explore the grandeur of Independence Square, Amir Temur Square, Alisher Navoi Theatre Square, and the Monument of Courage. Overnight in Tashkent.
Day 2- Khiva: Central Asia’s very first UNESCO World Heritage City
Fly to Urgench, then drive to Khiva. Step into the enchanting old town of Ichan Kala, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, surrounded by impressive 2 km clay walls. Pay a visit to key landmarks like the Kunya-Ark citadel, Pakhlavan Makhmoud mausoleum, Juma-Friday mosque with 218 decorated wooden columns, and the caravanserai. Overnight in Khiva.
Day 3- Bukhara: a 2500 years old city
Embark on an excursion to the ancient fortresses of Ayaz-Kala and Toprak-Kala, former capitals of ancient Khorezm. Savor a delightful lunch at a yurt camp before boarding a train to Bukhara. Overnight in Bukhara.
Day 4- Bukhara: the city of architectural gems
Unveil the rich history and architectural splendor of Lyabi Hauz. Delve into the iconic landmarks including Nodir Divan-Begi, Magaki Attari Mosque, Miri-Arab madrassah, and the Poi Kalyan complex with its striking Kalyan minaret. Make sure not to miss the captivating Folklore performance with a fashion presentation at the ancient madrassah.Overnight in Bukhara.
Day 5- Bukhara as a living museum
Indulge in a distinctive cultural journey with a visit to the renowned Samanids Mausoleum, a treasured landmark in Bukhara. Explore the exquisite beauty of the Fortress Ark, the enchanting Chor Minar, and the revered Chashma-Ayub shrine. Overnight in Bukhara.
Day 6- Aydarkul Lake: A turquoise lake in the sands
Drive to Nurata, enroute Gijduvan, an ancient ceramic center in Uzbekistan. Upon arrival, visit the remains of Alexander the Great’s fortress for a breathtaking view. Explore the Nurata Friday mosque. Indulge in a delightful home-hosted lunch before proceeding to the yurt camping site. Overnight in Nurata.
Day 7- Samarkand
Spend relaxing morning time at the lakeshore, exploring the area, walking nearby or swimming. Then drive to Samarkand and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Samarkand.
Day 8- Samarkand: land of architectural marvels
Today marks the start of our journey through Tamerlane’s Empire. We’ll marvel at the renowned Gur-Emir Mausoleum and the world-famous Registan Square, a stunning masterpiece of the Islamic world. Explore the fascinating remnants of the Bibi-Khanum Mosque before resting. Overnight in Samarkand.
Day 9- Smarkand: Walk in the nature’s oasis
Embark on a morning drive to the picturesque Zerafshan Mountains. Spend the day immersed in nature, walking through the scenic countryside near Samarkand and indulging in several hours of hiking in the mountains. Interact with friendly locals. Relish a delightful picnic lunch featuring shashlyk, a flavorful local barbecue specialty. Overnight in Samarkand.
Day 10- Departure
Explore the remaining monuments, including the mausoleum of St. Doniyor, the extraordinary Ulugbek’s Observatory, and the captivating Samarkand handmade silk paper center “Meros.” Afterwards, return to Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport to board your flight back home.
