Itinerary in brief

Day 1 - Explore Chilaw

Upon arrival get transferred to the hotel and by evening visit Muneeswarama and Manavari temples, the lingams installed by Lord Rama dedicated to Lord Shiva. Overnigt in Chilaw.

Day 2 - Anuradhapura: The Ancient city

After an ealry breakfast explore Anuradhapura, a UNESCO world heritage site and the birthplace of Sinhala civilisation. Later on, visit the Thirukoneswaram temple built by sage Agasthya dedicated to Lord Shiva. Overninght in Anuradhapura.

Day 3 - Kandy: The cultural capital

Begin the day with an early morning journey to Kandy, followed by a visit to the Dambulla Cave Temple, often referred to as the Golden Temple. After exploring the temple, proceed to the hotel for an overnight stay. Overnight in Kandy.

Day 4 - Pinnewala elephant orphanage

Discover the Pinnewala Elephant Conservation Center, which is operated by dedicated volunteers. Then, continue your day with a visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens and enjoy the Kandy Cultural Show later in the day.Overninght in Kandy.

Day 5 - Nuwara Eliya: The City of Lights

Embark on a scenic journey from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, making a stop at the Ramboda Sri Bhaktha Hanuman Temple along the way. Then, continue your drive to Nuwara Eliya, often referred to as “Little England” for its picturesque landscapes and pleasant climate. This city is renowned for its tea plantations and picturesque valleys. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 6 - Kataragama: Temples and Nature

Embark on a journey towards Kataragama while enjoying stops that showcase the region’s diverse culture and natural beauty. Start by visiting Ashoka Vatika in Nuwara Eliya and then continue your exploration with visits to the Divurumpola Temple, Ravana Falls/Ravana Caves, and the Sita Amman Temple. These stops will allow you to delve into the area’s abundant cultural and natural treasures. Overnight in Kataragama.

Day 7 - Kataragama: Temples and more…

Explore the Kataragama Temple, a place of worship for people of diverse faiths, with its rich cultural significance. Afterward, venture to the Ussanggoda Ramayana site, an intriguing location associated with the epic Ramayana, to further enrich your cultural and historical experience. Overnight in Katargama.

Day 8 - Colombo: Culture & History

Embark on a journey to Colombo via the scenic route that includes a stop at Rumassala Sanjeevani Mountain. Explore the historic Galle Dutch Fort before reaching Colombo. In the city, pay a visit to the Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple, the Kelaniya Vibhishana Temple, and enjoy some leisure time along the beautiful shoreline, offering a blend of cultural exploration and coastal relaxation. Overnight in Colombo.

Day 9 - Departure!

Get dropped at Colombo airport for your flight back Home.
