Itinerary in brief


Day 1 - Ulaanbaatar: Mongolian Capital
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. Visit the monasteries, and the museums. Enjoy a traditional art performance. Overnight in Ulaanbaatar.
Day 2 - Khogno Khan: Sacred Mountain
Drive to Khogno Khan, a beautiful granite mountain set in sylvan surroundings. Visit a local temple and a nomad family. Enjoy camel back riding for an hour and stay overnight in a Ger camp.
Day 3 - Kharakhorum: Abode of Genghis Khan
Drive down to Genghis Khan’s ancient capital, Kharakhorum and be awed by the Erdene Zuu monastery, the largest and first Mongolian Buddhist temple complex built on the remains of ancient Kharakhorum city. Visit a local museum for a quick understanding of the history and culture of the Mongols. Stay overnight in Ger camp.
Day 4 - Khushuu Tsaidam: Turkish Remnants
Travel to the Khushuu Tsaidam historical site and get to know more about the ancient Turkish Empire. Live with the nomads at the Gurvanbulag valley..Learn to play “Shagai”, the Mongolian traditional game. Stay overnight in community-based Ger camp.
Day 5 - Khustai National Park: Mongolian Beasts
Travel to Hustai National Park , en-route visit the Khar Bukhiin Balgas, the remains of an ancient 10th-century town. This National Park is a habitat of resurrected wild Mongolian horses, popularly known as Takhi. Stay overnight in Ger camp.
Day 6 - Ulaanbaatar
Drive back to Ulaanbaatar city. Buy some souvenirs from the local markets . Overnight in Ulaanbaatar.
Day 7 - Departure: Ügüi!
Get transferred to the aiport for your flight back home.

  • Twin/double basis hotel accommodation (2 nights) in Ulaanbaatar, Ger camp stay (3 nights) and community based Ger camp stay (1 night) in countryside
  • Entrance fees to Protected Areas and sightseeing costs
  • Domestic airfare, all road transfers by bus/minibus in the city and by minivan in the countryside
  • Meals of breakfast (B), lunch/picnic during the travel/ (L) and dinner (D) as mentioned in the detailed itinerary
