The Dalai Lama Trail 10D/9N

lama-Tawang-

In 1959, His Holiness 14th Dalai Lama fled from Tibet to India through Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh.   Arunachal Pradesh or the land of “Dawn lit Mountains” rises from the Assam plains as a mass of densely forested, and impossibly steep, hills, which eventually top off as snow-capped peaks along the Tibetan border. It is one of India’s last unspoilt wildernesses. Home to 26 indigenous tribes, Arunachal is a sanctuary for India’s natural and anthropological heritage. A staggering five hundred species of orchid –found in its glacial terrain, alpine meadows and subtropical rainforest are a visual delight. It is also home to the oldest and the second largest Monastery in Asia region and also the birth place of the 6th Dalai Lama.

I have sprinkled a little bit of wildlife from Assam for some action after a calm and peaceful sojourn with nature.
