Why visit Cambodia?
Ever heard of large monument with smileys or smiling face or 200 smiling faces? “Svakom kar mokkan bratesa kampouchea”: Welcome to Cambodia, an ancient country with a history that can be traced back to at least the 5th millennium BC. The temples and monuments of Cambodia represent a combination of history, spirituality and mythology.
The Golden age of Cambodia was between the 9th and 14th century, the Angkor period, during which it was a powerful and prosperous empire that dominated almost all of inland Southeast Asia. This civilization collapsed after much bloodshed, but many temples from this period, like Bayon and Angkor Wat still remain today as a reminder of the grandeur of Khmer arts and culture.
A lot has been said about Cambodia, its history, architecture, grand monuments and temples. If you think Cambodia is only for the history buffs, it is clearly not the case.

Cambodia can be broadly classified in to 3 different experience zones. Ancient history and architecture experience at Siem Reap. Modern history at Phnom Penh, and beaches and water sports at Sihanoukville. Besides, there is wildlife, shopping spree and the Khmer cuisine.
One of the things that make Cambodia stand out is its people. You will be welcomed by the ever smiling faces of Cambodians, with a sweet expression of Sampeah and Awkoon (Greetings and thank you). The people are a very simple, innocent and happy lot despite the hardships that they have survived in the recent past.

What our Cambodia Travellers Say
The trip overall was a quite nice and enriching experience. Cambodia as a country with its different culture as well as the epic nature of the monuments that we witnessed left us awestruck. The guide was quite helpful and was knowledgeable too. The hotel facility was decent and was in a nice locality that had good access to Pub Street, Airport, as well as restaurants for lunch/dinner…

We would surely visit other places too through Beyonder as you did hand hold us throughout the entire process of the trip unlike other travel agents that forget the client once the money is paid.

We cycled 12 km on the perimeter wall of Angkor Wat. The route was amazingly beautiful with big trees covering the track. The volunteers on the route were very friendly and aid stations were well placed. It was a short trip but could cover most of the places.
