Day 1 - Tashkent: Capital of Uzbekistan
Explore the history of Khast Imam Square in Tashkent with its Barak Khan Madrassah, Tillya Sheykh Mosque, Friday Mosque, and Kafal Shashi mausoleum. Visit Independence Square, Amir Temur Square, Alisher Navoi Theatre Square, and the Monument of Courage. Overnight in Tashkent.
Day 2- Khiva: Central Asia’s very first UNESCO World Heritage City
Fly to Urgench and drive to Khiva start exploring the enchanting old town of Ichan Kala. Immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, surrounded by its impressive 2 km clay walls. Visit important monuments like the Kunya-Ark citadel, the mausoleum of Pakhlavan Makhmoud, and the Juma Mosque. Overnight in Khiva.
Day 3- Bukhara: a 2500-year-old city
Drive to Bukhara via Kyzylkum desert. Stop by to admire the fantastic view you will encounter on the way. Overnight in Bukhara.
Day 4- Bukhara: the city of architectural gems
Explore the rich history and architectural beauty of Lyabi Hauz. Discover iconic landmarks like Nodir Divan-Begi, Magaki Attari Mosque, Miri-Arab madrassah, and the Poi Kalyan complex with the Kalyan minaret. Overnight in Bukhara.
Day 5- Samarkhand: a junction of ancient silk route
Visit Bukhara’s treasured landmark, the Samanids Mausoleum and explore the Fortress Ark, Chor Minar, and the Chashma-Ayub shrine, some of the most precious monuments in Bukhara. Travel conveniently by high-speed train from Afrosiab to Samarkand. Overnight in Samarkand.
Day 6-Samarkhand through the holy lens
Discover the marveling sites of Timur’s capital, Samarkand including Reqistan square with three splendid madrassahs, the oldest Ulugbek madrassah, Bibi Khanym Mosque, Siab bazaar, and the sacred necropolis of Shakhi Zinda. Overnight in Samarkand.
Day 7- Tashkent and its ancient culture
Explore Mausoleum of Gur-Emir, dedicated to Timur and his descendants. Discover the unique Ulugbek Observatory and the excavation site of Afrosiab with its Museum featuring unique wall paintings. Witness the revival of the ancient tradition of hand-made paper production at the Samarkand Handmade Silk Paper Center “Meros”. Overnight in Tashkent.
Day 8 - Departure: Xayr!
Get dropped to the international airport for your flight back home.
