Why visit Vietnam?

vietnam_map_outline

Xin Chao ! Xin Chao Vietnam !   A country that has recorded human settlements 500,000 years ago… A country with a history that goes back a long long way… But a history that is studded with bloody wars and conflict and power struggles… A history that has also given it many beautiful monuments, architecture and cities… and a natural beauty, that transcends all of this… A country that has two UNESCO heritage sites, fabulous beaches, mysterious caves, dreamy cruises, amazing cuisine (some say the best in South East Asia), pagodas, monasteries, an old-world style of green living…

Whether you are travelling Solo, as a couple , with a bunch of friends or family, there is something for everyone in Vietnam. For the foodies , Vietnam is a paradise. Barack Obama sampled and spoke about the Bun Cha (Vietnamese cuisine) and Bia Hoi (Vietnamese draught beer) during his trip to Hanoi.

Want to get into a dare game in Vietnam?  Try crossing the street in Hanoi!  Roads in Hanoi are dotted with motorbikes and that too lots of them.

Come with us while we take you into Vietnam… to revel in its beauty, charm and its hidden experiences… Come beyonder…

Best places to visit in Vietnam?

Vietnam is a large country and can be divided as North, Central and South. In case you want to have an immersive experience in Vietnam, do budget for at least two weeks.
North of Vietnam has the vibrant city life of Hanoi which still retains the colonial look, the shopping experience at the Old quarter and glimpses of history and heritage. Halong Bay a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the natural wonders of the world has many caves and islands to explore. Sapa is a small hill station, with pleasant weather and apt for short treks. Tam Coc with its limestone caves, rice fields, canals offers a good experience of the countryside. Cycling around the place itself is a good experience.

Step into Hue, the cultural capital of Vietnam located in the Central region.  After experiencing the culture and heritage at Hue and Hoi An, stroll around the lantern-lit streets of Hoi An. Explore the  beaches of Danang, Nha Trang and more

Head to My Son, listen to the stories of the empire while marveling at the majestic ruins

Head to the South of Vietnam, to Ho Chi Minh- yes it is the man and the city. Drive to the Cu Chi tunnels and go underground and crawl through the tunnels. Drive to the Mekong Delta and explore the rural way of life

If you plan to explore the whole country, deciding on the best time to visit can be a tricky one. Vietnam is a large country and has huge regional diversity, however, monsoon and typhoon season should be avoided keeping in mind which region is getting impacted by it. Best time to travel is from September to April.

What our Vietnam Travellers Say

Soumya & ChandrashekharBeyonder Traveller - Vietnam

Summer 2016, decided to take the route less trodden and test the waters of Vietnam. The best part was visiting a city , a hill station and a bay area . Hanoi, Sapa and halong bay was on our itinerary. Hanoi being the capital was feel at home with maddening traffic & street food culture.“Sapa” was close to our home turf shimla with misty mountains,

sprawling narrow by lanes, breath taking scenery seasoned with lovely local tribes. But the best was saved for the last, hundreds of towering limestone islands standing on emerald waters “Halong bay “does justice of being in the 7 wonders of nature. Staying midst of this on a cruise spending a night on board watching the sunset and sunrise is mystical.

Thanks to Anand for jostling us to try Vietnam , Beyonder’s were in constant touch with us making sure there were no glitches during our vacation. 3 cheers to Beyonder Travel for this beyond an experience sojourn!
