Itinerary in brief


Day 1 - Ujjain: Sacred City
Arrive in Indore by flight/train and head directly to Ujjain which is ranked among one of Hinduism’s 7 sacred cities and one of the 4 centers of the 12-yearly Kumbh Mela. Stroll around leisurely before retiring early.
Day 2 - Mahakaleshwar Temple: Bhasma Aarti
Get ready for the famous Bhasma Aarti at Mahakaleshwar Temple which is one of the 12 holy Jyotirlingas of Shiva spread across the country. Visit the numerous other temples and palaces.
Day 3 - 4 - Mandu: Quaint City
Head out to the quaint city of Mandu. Explore Mandu, the city that celebrates the love of its poet-king for his consort with its exquisite palaces, ornamental canals, baths, and pavilions. One of the architectural gems is Hoshang Shah’s tomb which provided inspiration to the builders of the Taj Mahal.
Day 5 - Omkareshwar: Island Resembling Om
Travel to Omkareshwar, visiting the Maheshwar fort on the banks of Narmada, on the way, identified as Mahishmati, an important cultural and political center that finds mention in both the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. Stroll around this riverine island which stands at the confluence of the Narmada and the Cauvery rivers.
Day 6 - Omkareshwar: Temple Tour
Spend half a day visiting the sights of Omkareshwar including the Shri Omkar Mandhata temple that houses one of the 12 holy Jyotirlingas in the country. Travel to Bhopal.
Day 7 - Bhopal: Sanchi and Bhimbetka
Take in the famous sights of Bhopal Sanchi, famous for its ancient stupas, monasteries, and temples dating back to the 3rd century BC, and Bhimbetka, India’s richest collection of prehistoric cave paintings dating back to the early Stone Age.
Day 8 - Departure: Alvida!
Depart to catch flight/train after a religious experience in the heart of India.
