Arrival in Bhutan, The Land of Happiness. Travel via the scenic and picturesque villages of Bondey, Shaba, Isuna, etc.
Day 2-Thimphu
Visit Kuensel Phodrang, world’s largest Sitting Buddha statue, Folk Heritage Museum, Sangaygang View point which overlooks the scenic city of Thimphu, Takin Preserve Centre.
Day 3- Thimphu to Punakha
Drive to Punakha, the winter residence of the religious head of Bhutan, Je-Khenpo via Dochula pass. , Chhimi Lhakhang “The Temple of Fertility”, Punakha Dzong, Punakha suspension bridge
Day 4-Punakha to Paro
Enjoy a scenic drive to Paro passing through beautiful mountains and the beautiful Dochula pass, visiting the Lamperi Botanical Park en route.
Day 5-Paro trekking
Trek up to the Taktsang Monastery or “Tiger’s Nest”, a monastery perched on a rocky cliff. Visit the Drukgyel Dzong & Kyichu Monastery considered as the sacred jewel of Bhutan.
Day 6-Paro Sightseeing
Drive to the Chelela pass, the highest motorable pass in Bhutan, and enjoy the views of Mt. Jomolhari (7326 meters) in the Himalayas. Visit Ta Dzong, National Museum
Day 7-Departure: Le Shim Bay Jo eh!
Adieu Bhutan!
