This standard itinerary takes you to the Pyramids of Giza, the cities of Luxor & Aswan with its numerous temples and tombs, the ancient cities of Edfu and Kom Ombo, the bustling markets of modern Cairo, the rich museums and a relaxing 4 day cruise on the Nile.

There are various optional experiences to complement your visit on this time machine journey – Go on a amazing Hot-Air Balloon experience in Luxor and view the ancient monuments and tomb area in the soft comfort of the morning sun, go on a food tour in Cairo to understand the culture and food traditions of this lovely country, attend sound and light shows in Giza, Karnak or the temple of Philae – the list goes on.

If you are as mesmerized by this ancient civilization as we are, you can opt for more immersive experiences like taking additional tours to Saqqara and Dashur – where you can see the earliest pyramids – the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid.

You could also go off the beaten track and visit the ancient temple regions of Abydos and Dendara and watch the best preserved large truly monumental temples and some unique sights like the impressive list of Pharaohs, Dendara’s Zodiac ceiling, Cleopatra’s relief, the mysterious ‘Helicopter’ and ‘submarine’ inscriptions at Abydos. Itinerary in brief

Day 1 - Cairo: Sphinx & Pyramids

Arrive at Cairo International airport, and travel to Giza. Giza is home to the largely popular Sphinx and Pyramids. Spend a day exploring this beautiful and modest town.

Day 2 - Giza: Pyramid Day

Spend the day gazing at the Pyramids of Giza, the Pyramid of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure. Go inside the Great Pyramid through the Great Gallery and the impressive King’s Chamber. Visit the ancient predecessors of the Great Pyramids at Saqqara and Dahshur, the Step Pyramid of Djoser, The Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid, the first ever True Pyramid.

Day 3 - Aswan: Nile Cruise

Take a flight to Aswan and get ready for a cruise in the mighty Nile. Visit the Temple of Philae, The High Dam, and the unfinished Obelisk. Go for a trip to the fascinating Abu Simbel on Lake Nasser. Overnight on the cruise.

Day 4 - Kom Ombo: Crocodile Temple

Sail towards Kom Ombo, enjoy cruising on the Nile and watch life on its banks. Visit Kom Ombo temple dedicated to the Crocodile God Sobek and Horus.

Day 5 - Edfu: Falcon Temple

Visit Edfu Temple, the grand temple dedicated to the Falcon God, Horus. Start cruising towards Luxor. In the evening, enjoy a musical performance on board

Day 6 - Luxor: Kings’ Valley

Visit the Karnak and Luxor temples, the West Bank, the Valley of Kings, three royal tombs of the ancient Pharaohs of Egypt, Queen Hatshepsut Temple and the two colossi of Memnon. Go on a memorable hot-air balloon ride over Luxor. Fly to Cairo.

Day 7 - Cairo: Museums and Markets

Visit the truly impressive Egyptian Museum on Tahrir Square. Spend time examining the treasures, the rich ones from Tutankhamun’s tomb. Visit the famous bustling Khan El-Khalili Bazaar and shop to your heart’s content!

Day 8 - Departure: Ma'is Salāma!

Get transferred to the airport for your trip back home. Bid adieu to your adventure in the land of the Pyramids!
