Itinerary in Brief

Day 1 - Copenhagen

Arrive in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. In this beguiling city, one thousand years of history anticipates you in the medieval roads. Overnight in Copenhegan.

Day 2 - Copenhagen: City Tour

Explore Copenhagen, the fishing village turned into a beautiful city. The city offers many attractions such as Tivoli, the statue of the Little Mermaid, the Gefion Fountain, the Royal Palace Amalienborg. Overnight in Copenhegan.

Day 3 - Oslo: Ferry to Norway

Cruise down to Oslo, experience the beauty and majesty of the fjord from Holmenkollen Hill . Overnight stay on cruise. Overnight in Oslo.

Day 4 - Oslo: Culture and Nature

Arrive in Oslo, the capital of Norway. Oslo is wonderfully located at the top of the Oslo Fjord encompassed by forested edges. Oslo has many interesting experiences to offer such as the Vigeland Sculpture Park, the Viking Ship Museum and the Munch Museum. Overnight in Oslo.

Day 5 -Oslo: City Tour

Take the Oslo Panorama Sightseeing tour through the central parts of the city. Visit the Opera house, Akershus Fortress, Fram Museum, and Oslo Fjord. Overnight in Oslo.

Day 6 - Stockholm: Swedish Capital

Take a train ride to Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. Stockholm is a 14 islands city and you are never far from the water. Explore the well-protected medieval structures, and the archipelago of 24.000 islands outside the city. Overnight in Stockholm.

Day 7-8 - Stockholm: Islands and Palaces

Visit Drottningholm Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on the island of Lovo. Visit the Viking Settlement of Birch Island. Venture into the archipelago to visit the fortress of Vaxholm. Visit the Vasa Museum, Skansen Open Air Museum, City Hall, the Old Town and more. overnight in Stockholm.

Day 9 - Helsinki: Finnish Capital

Cruise down to Helsinki. Overnight on Helsinki.

Day 10-11 - Helsinki: Design City

Arrive at Helsinki, the Finnish Capital. Explore the Senate, the Presidential Palace, the City Hall ,the harbor area and Uspenski Cathedral. Stroll through the Esplanade Park, shopping streets, the parliament, the Museum of Contemporary Art & more. Overnight on Helsinki.

Day 12 - Departure: Adjo!

Get transferred to the airport for your flight back home

If you want to feel “free to roam”, you have to be in Finland. You can pitch a tent, forage for wild berries or catch fish in the lakes for free and without worry. While I was very tempted to do this,but eventually settled for something else, I must admit here, I have no regrets. There are so many exotic surprises that await you in these Nordic countries. Freaky seasonal weather,midnight sun in summer,2 million saunas, an annual day for failure, that’s right, celebrating bad news and ill-fortune as away of learning for the future, the list is endless. In my attempt to explore the Nordic land I have spent a lot of time in Finland,cruised through the Scandinavian capitals and Sweden happened to me by chance or may be an act of will but slightly unusual (wish I had more time). Nevertheless, it was worth it.When in Sweden, make sure to experience “Fika” …the coffee drinking tradition with family and friends.

Day 1 - Stockholm: Swedish Capital

Stockholm is a 14 islands city and you are never far from the water. Explore the well-protected medieval structures, and the archipelago of 24.000 islands outside the city. Also visit the Vasa Museum, Skansen Open Air Museum, City Hall and of course the Old Town.

Day 2 - Music , Museum and Countryside

Visit the ABBA Museum. Have fun recording your own song or be a dancing queen or king on stage. Take the train or bus to Trosa, a seaside paradise with less than 5K population. Explore the sleepy town and try spotting the summer houses of the celebrities like the Abba member Benny Andersson, actor Mikael Persbrandt etc

Day 3 - Trosa: City in Pastel

Stroll through the carefully preserved town center or along the river with its pastel-colored, turn-of-the-century houses and glazed verandas. Visit any café or restaurant and enjoy a traditional Swedish Fika. Relax in the park of Trosa Stadshotell.

Day 4 - Stockholm: Islands with Palace

Take the train or bus back to Stockholm. Explore more of Stockholm and stroll around the beautiful beaches and sample some of the best Swedish food.

Day 5 - Departure: Adjo!

Get transferred to the airport for your flight back home

Fly to Kiruna and get transferred to your hotel. Later in the evening explore the beauty of Northern Lights.

Day 3: 13th Feb - Explore Kiruna

Explore Kiruna on your own. In the evening go on to take another shot at the Northern Lights (optional).

Day 4: 14th Feb - Moose Safari in Kiruna

After breakfast at the hotel head out on an exciting Moose Safari tour. In the evening go on to take another shot at the Northern Lights (optional).

Day 5: 15th Feb - Arrive in Stockholm

Check-in to your hotel and explore the city at leisure.

Day 6: 16th Feb - Explore Stockholm

Head out on a half-day Viking tour in the outskirts of Stockholm.
