And the definition varies hugely…Ours is a very loose definition of the term with the attendant regional overlaps and geographical incongruence. We include the less visited countries of Europe in this experience focused on the unique culture, history and natural beauty – Hungary, Romania, Moldova, Slovakia, and Austria. Come along on this and experience a slice of Europe that may just stun you…

Itinerary in brief

DAY 1- JULY 2ND - ARRIVE IN BUDAPEST (HUNGARY)

Arrive at the airport and get transferred to the hotel. Enjoy an evening of relaxation, by the river maybe? Overnight in Budapest.

DAY 2- JULY 3RD - BUDAPEST (HUNGARY)

Head out on an exploration of the city of Budapest – the touristy must-do’s and the quirky side of the city, its street-art and alternative culture. Overnight in Budapest.

DAY 3- JULY 4TH - BUDAPEST (HUNGARY)

Continue your exploration of Buda and Pest. In the evening, enjoy a Pub crawl with a difference. Head out to Brasov.

DAY 4- JULY 5TH - BRASOV (ROMANIA)

Arrive at Brasov, check into your hotel near the Old City. Head out in the evening on a Candlelight city tour and explore this oft-ignored part of Romania. Overnight in Brasov.

DAY 5- JULY 6TH - BRASOV (ROMANIA)

Head out on a Castle run in Brasov covering the iconic Bran castle with its connect with Count Dracula, the Peasant Citadel and Peles castle. Overnight in Brasov.

DAY 6- JULY 7TH - BRASOV (ROMANIA)

Visit the surrounding cities of Brasov on a day trip to Sighisoara and Viscri. Overnight in Brasov.

DAY 7- JULY 8TH - BUCHAREST (ROMANIA)

Head out to Bucharest. Enjoy a walking tour in the afternoon with the evening being free for you to indulge yourself at leisure. Overnight in Bucharest.

DAY 8- JULY 9TH - BUCHAREST (ROMANIA)

This is the day to explore the famous dark-side of Romania on a walking tour of the hidden spots of Bucharest. Take the iconic Communist-era train to Chisinau in the evening.

DAY 9- JULY 10TH - CHISINAU (MOLDOVA)

Arrive in Chisinau and get transferred to the Hotel. In the afternoon head out on a walking tour around Chisinau and enjoy the evening at a winery, tasting the famous wines of Chisinau. Overnight in Chisinau.

DAY 10- JULY 11TH - CHISINAU (MOLDOVA)

Head out on a day tour to Transnistria, the famously unrecognized country within the country of Moldova. Overnight in Chisinau.

DAY 11- JULY 12TH - SALZBURG (AUSTRIA)

Fly out to Vienna and directly head to Salzburg. Enjoy a day at leisure in Salzburg. Overnight in Salzburg.

DAY 12- JULY 13TH - SALZBURG (AUSTRIA)

Drive or train it down to Hallstatt. Visit the 5 Fingers glacier, the Bone House and the Salt mines. Overnight in Salzburg.

DAY 13- JULY 14TH - SALZBURG & VIENNA (AUSTRIA)

Head out on a tour to explore the locations of the iconic movie, Sound of Music, and explore the city at your own pace before traveling to Vienna. Overnight in Vienna.

DAY 14- JULY 15TH - VIENNA (AUSTRIA)

Explore the city of Music and Dreams on a city tour at your own pace before exploring the iconic Schonbrunn Palace. Overnight in Vienna.

DAY 15- JULY 16TH - POPRAD (SLOVAKIA)

Travel to the High Tatra region of Slovakia – Poprad. Explore the small town at your own pace. Overnight in Poprad.

DAY 16- JULY 17TH - POPRAD (SLOVAKIA)

Head out on a day tour to Banska Stiavnica and explore the city. Overnight in Poprad.

DAY 17- JULY 18TH - POPRAD (SLOVAKIA)

Head out on a day tour to Bardejov and explore the town. Overnight in Poprad.

DAY 18- JULY 19TH - BRATISLAVA (SLOVAKIA)

Arrive in Bratislava and explore the city. Get the adrenalin flowing with a UFO skywalk (optional). Overnight in Bratislava.

DAY 19- JULY 20TH - BRATISLAVA (SLOVAKIA)

Head out on a walking tour to explore Bratislava by Day and visit the iconic Castle of Bratislava. Overnight in Bratislava.

DAY 20- JULY 21ST - BUDAPEST (HUNGARY)

Arrive in Budapest from Bratislava. Enjoy the day at leisure. Overnight in Budapest.

DAY 21- JULY 22ND - BUDAPEST (HUNGARY)

Head out on a day tour to Eger, the wine town of Hungary, for a winery tour with wine tasting and maybe taste the world-famous Bull’s Blood red wine. Overnight in Budapest.

DAY 22- JULY 23RD - BUDAPEST (HUNGARY)

Flyback home with a head full of East European memories…

Itinerary in brief

Day 1 – Arrival in Prague

Arrive in Prague, meet the runcation group and get to know each other. The rest of the evening is at leisure.

Day 2 – Run in the morning, walking tour of city of Prague

Go on an early morning run (5-10 km) from the city center to the Vltava River. Go on a walking tour of the city of Prague covering important areas such as Prague Castle, Lesser Town, Old Town and Jewish Quarter.

Day 3 - Yoga in the morning, Kutna Hora tour – City tour

Start your day with a yoga session in the morning, Go on a tour of Kutná Hora, a medieval mining town founded in the 13th century, known as a “Silver Treasure House of Kingdom”.

Day 4 - Transfer to Vienna, cycling tour of the city, Danube river cruise

Transfer to Vienna. Go on a cycling tour (about 3 hours) covering the popular landmarks of the city. In the evening, go on a Danube river cruise passing by the key landmarks of Vienna.

Day 5 - Run in the morning, Vienna city tour, Schonbrunn Palace, Vienna flyer and Flea Market

Go for an early morning run (5-10 km) passing by old architecture and modern city life of Vienna.Later in the day go on a Vienna City tour covering all the popular landmarks such as Belvedere museum, Parliament house, Sigmund Freud Museum. Visit Schonbrunn Palace and explore the majesty of the Palace and its garden. Later in the evening visit the Flea market and shop to your heart’s content.

Day 6 – Departure

Get transferred to the airport to catch your flight back home

3D/2N visit to Hallstatt – $ 650 per person plus 5% GST

Day 1

Transfer by train and check in to the hotel at Hallstatt – a UNESCO Heritage city. Later in the evening walk around the lake and take in breath-taking views of the surrounding. Overnight in Hallstatt.

Day 2

Hike (1 km) upto Five Fingers and take in incredible views of Hallstatt and Hallstatter.Later during the day go on a tour of the world’s oldest salt mine, which is a top attraction in Hallstatt

Day 3

Transfer by train back to Vienna to catch your flight back home
