This is a combination of the best parts of Vietnam; the vibrant city of Hanoi and the pristine landscape of Halong Bay.
Imagine 2000 or more islands rising from the emerald waters, and what comes to the mind is a blank – we bet you haven’t seen anything like it anywhere else… Halong means ‘where the dragon descends into the sea’, and legend has it that the islands of Halong Bay were created by a great dragon from the mountains that descended here. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature, this mystical landscape of limestone islets is a spectacular destination with a large number of islands dotted with wind- and wave-eroded caves. If Halong Bay is nature’s wonderful creation, Hanoi is a charming city showcasing French colonial buildings, ancient pagodas and lovely lakes.
