It is known as the abode of Lord Shiva, the greatest Yogi of all times. The Hindu mythological scriptures talk about the life of Lord Shiva in the Kailash Parvat. Looking like a symmetrical cone shaped rock; this perennially ice-capped mountain dominates the Himalayan Barrier and is of great spiritual significance for Hindus, Buddhists, Jains and Bon-Po (the traditional religion of the region). It is also said that, time travels quickly at Kailash Parvat. Travelers and scientist had witnessed the rapid growth of their hairs and nails and scientists are still digging the reason behind that.

This is indeed the trip of a lifetime, a dream for many… And now a blessing for those who aren’t avid trekkers, since it involves no trekking (unless one does the Parikrama which can be by trekking or mule).
