Arrive in Kathmandu and evening aarati at Pashupatinath temple
Arrive in Kathmandu airport and get transferred to your hotel. Relax for some time and then head out to the most sacred shrine in Nepal dedicated to Lord Shiva – the ancient Pashupatinath Temple. Here you can witness cremation ritual of Hindus at ‘Aryaghat’, the cremation area of the temple. You will get to see a special aarati program done by the priests.
After a short scenic drive, take a cable car ride to Manakamana Temple. After puja at this famous temple, drive back to Kathmandu for a an evening of shopping in the many handicraft and souvenir shops.
Budanilkantha temple and Nagarkot
Visit the ancient shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the Budanilkantha at the base of Shivapuri Hill. Drive through pine forests, terraced fields, Newari Villages and farmsteads to the hill station of Nagarkot to enjoy the spectacular panoramic Himalayan vista. Explore the quaint small town before heading back to Kathmandu.
Catch up on some last minute shopping before getting transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
