Day 1:
Arrival at Rome

Arrive at Rome and after a quick check in at the hotel, explore the city at leisure.

Day 2:
Rome Sightseeing

Explore the city of Rome starting from the Piramide, the Mouth of Truth, Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla, the Colosseum, Santa Maria Maggiore, Republic Square, and more . Take a walking tour of the city covering Fontana di Trevi and Piazza di Spagna, Condotti, Via del Corso, Piazza del Popolo, Villa Borghese. Overnight stay at Rome.

Day 3:
Sorrento

Drive to Sorrento, a city on the bay of Naples, is known for its sea and mountains that makes for a beautiful landscape. Allow yourself a break to let the breath-taking views soak in. Don’t forget to try Limoncello, the most famous alcoholic beverage of Sorrento.

Day 4:
Capri and Anacapri

Take a boat ride to the magical island of the Sirens which has inspired and still inspires a lot of artists. Explore the other island town called Anacapri which has retained its authentic feel and charm even in today’s world. Explore the beautiful island on your own, on foot. If the weather is favourable we can visit the Blue Grotto sea cave. Overnight stay at Sorrento.

Day 5:
Amalficoast

The Amalficoast is one of the most spectacular coastlines of Europe with winding roads, surrounded by rocks. The town Amalfi, after which the coast is named, was once a rich and powerful maritime republic. In the cathedral are kept the tombs of the saint patron of Amalfi and also of St. Andrew of Scotland. Visit the Cathedral and Villa Rufolo , a building in existence since the 13th Century . Overnight stay at Sorrento.

Day 6:
Pompeii – Salerno – Messina

Drive to Pompeii, which is an hour away from Sorrento. Once a thriving and sophisticated Roman city, Pompeii was buried in meters of ash and pumice after the catastrophic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 C.E. This is one of most compelling archaeological sites of Europe and is a reminder of the might that lies deep inside Vesuvius. Drive further to Sicily which is a longish journey. Overnight at Sicily.

Day 7:
Etna -Taormina

Drive to Etna, the highest peak of Sicily and the most active volcano in Europe. The territory surrounding the volcano constitutes the “Park of Etna”, one of the largest protected areas in Italy. Drive further to the “Silvestri Craters” and continue the excursion by jeep. Stop at a local beekeeper to taste local honey and also understand the process of producing honey. Drive towards Taormina, a town perched on the side of a mountain, and has gorgeous medieval churches and a stunning Greek theatre. Overnight at Sicily.

Day 8:
Taormina Mare-Noto-Syracuse

Noto, the jewel of Sicilian Baroque, is in the UNESCO world heritage list for its beautiful Baroque churches and “palazzi”. Explore the historical centre of the town and rs the main monuments like the cathedral, the Santa Chiara church, Palazzo Ducezio and the Via Nicolaci,etc. Take a guided tour at Syracuse, one of the most interesting archaeological sites of the island. Overnight in Taormina area.

Day 9:
Taormina Mare

Explore the town at leisure. Located just 20metres from the sea this is great for an idyllic day.

Day 10:
Overnight Cruise to Civitavecchia

Castelbuono is a charming town that was formed in the 14CE around the castle built by the Ventimiglia family, a massive square construction with square towers, which has undergone many alterations over the years. Drive further to Cefalù and explore the lovely medieval town and its famous cathedrals and monuments. Get on board a ship at the port of Palermo and enjoy the overnight cruise.

Day 11:
Civitavecchia – Rome

Arrive at Civitavecchia port in the morning and get transferred to Rome. Take time out for last minute souvenir shopping.

Day 12:
Departure

Transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
