Day 1:
Arrive in Frankfurt

Arrive in Frankfurt and make your own way to the booked hotel. Explore the city on a hop-on-hop-off tour (depending on your arrival time) and maybe end the evening with a visit to some of the famous watering holes and eating joints…

Day 2:
Heidelberg

Head out for a halfday excursion to Heidelberg, one of the most beautiful cities in Germany by the River Neckar. Take a walk in the medieval town centre and explore of the world famous castle (partially in ruins) with its impressive Gothic and Renaissance buildings. Marvel at the Old Bridge, Karlstor, the Church of the Holy Spirit, House of the Knights with its precious Renaissance facade and small lanes with half-timbered houses.

Day 3:
Rudesheim

Hop on to a local train to Rudesheim. After check-in to your hotel, explore and enjoy this quaint World heritage Site – a winemaking town in the Rhine Gorge… Go local with a vengeance – take a gondola ride for a fabulous view of the Rhine Valley, walk through the vineyards, try some of the famous Rudesheim Coffee… It’s quite a pick-me-up – I can vouch for that ;-).

Day 4:
Koblenz

Board a local train to Koblenz, a picturesque 2000-year old town located in the picturesque landscape of the Rhine and Moselle and surrounded by four low mountain ranges is this 2000-year-old town. Get lost in the abundance of cultural monuments and historic buildings, cosy lanes and narrow alleyways… Soak in the relaxed and happy atmosphere of its squares and river promenades that make Koblenz a friendly town where its guests feel right at home. Take in a city tour, visit the Fortress and castles, take in the majestic views, walk the romantic streets, lounge about the ancient squares and fountain – in short, let yourself be cast under the romantic spell of Koblenz…

Day 5:
Bonn

Train it down to Germany’s former capital city Bonn and enjoy a day of sightseeing. Once a Roman settlement and recently the capital of the young Federal Republic of Germany, today, Bonn is an attractive UN and University city with a rich cultural life… Discover on your own the many faces of Bonn and the architectural heritage of more than 2000 years of city history on the Big City Tour.

Day 6:
Cologne

Start your excursion to Cologne from a different perspective – experience a scenic cruise along the Rhine and admire the sights of the city from the water. Hop on to a double-decker open-top bus with fantastic views of the city makes this tour a real experience. And then on to Berlin to celebrate the last evening of the trip – maybe with a bit of shopping or maybe a night out on town…

Day 7:
Berlin

Head out for a hop on hop off city tour of Berlin giving you the option to spend the time that you like at the many attractions of Berlin – the Potsdamer Platz, the former Checkpoint Charlie, the Brandenburg Gate and Charlottenburg Palace. In the evening, take a train to Waren an der Müritz, the gateway to the famous Lake district of Brandenburg.

Day 8:
Berlin City tour

Head out for a hop on hop off city tour of Berlin giving you the option to spend the time that you like at the many attractions of Berlin – the Potsdamer Platz, the former Checkpoint Charlie, the Brandenburg Gate and Charlottenburg Palace. In the evening, take a train to Waren an der Müritz, the gateway to the famous Lake district of Brandenburg.

Day 9:
Würzburg

Board the train to Würzburg, check in at the hotel and explore by yourself this baroque city with the Old Town, its unique history, the Cathedral and the Marienberg castle. Stroll along or maybe take the minitrain to have a great view at the entire city comfortably. Discover more about Würzburg and its people, get to know more about the ancient and present Würzburg, glorious and sometimes even cruel aspects… Oh and get a peep at the romantic and vivacious side of this city.

Day 10:
Rothenburg

Travel by coach on the Romantic Road to Rothenburg, the “Medieval Jewel” of Germany. Upon arrival in Rothenburg, check in to your hotel and relax. In the late evening, join an English-guided city walk through the city to see the sights of this medieval town with the historic Night-watchman.

Day 11:
Dinkelsbühl

Continue by road along the Romantic Road – via Dinkelsbühl, Nördlingen and Augsburg to reach Füssen in the evening. Soak in the natural beauty of the countryside till you paradoxically get tired of the sheer grandeur and natural beauty…

Day 12:
Hohenschwangau

Transfer to Hohenschwangau and join the tour of the Neuschwanstein Castle & Hohenschwangau Castle… Explore the town and head out to Munich in the evening…

Day 13:
Munich

Explore Munich at leisure with a hop on hop off city tour of Munich. The afternoon you will be free to decide what to do. Munich offers a variety of possibilities. Explore as many of them as you can and then head out to celebrate the last evening of the trip – maybe with a bit of shopping or maybe a night out on town…

Day 14:
Departure
