Day 1:
Taipei

Arrive at Taoyuan International Airport (Taipei), and get transferred to your hotel. Explore the city at your leisure (B)

Day 2:
National Palace Museum

Take a tour of Taipei city to see the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, 5,000 years of Chinese imperial arts and jade collections in the National Palace Museum, Martyrs’ Shrine of traditional architecture, a local Taiwanese temple, and the Handicraft Centre.(B)

Step out in the evening to enjoy the first impressions of the exciting pulse of Rio de Janeiro…Or just relax among the palm trees drinking coconut water and listening to samba. Whatever you choose – you can find it easily in Rio!

Day 3:
Sun Moon Lake

Drive to the Sun Moon Lake situated 762 meters above sea level in the lofty mountains of Central Taiwan. Visit the WenWu Temple – a unique temple known as the Literature-Warrior Temple, it is dedicated to Confucius as Master of the Pen and to Kuan Ti as Master of the Sword! Check out the Holy Monk Shrine and Ci En Pagoda. Enjoy the natural hot spring at the Fleur de Chine Hotel, Sun Moon Lake. (B)

Day 4:
Buddhist Monastery

Drive down to the most famous Buddhist sacred place of southern Taiwan Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Monastery and take a walking tour to the “Buddha Memorial Centre”. Move on to Kaohsiung, the second largest city of Taiwan, to relax by the Love River and explore the Liuhe Night Market. (B)

Day 5:
Kenting National Park

Next stop is at the southernmost tip of Taiwan, the Kenting National Park with 37 miles of coral-rimmed shoreline along three sides of the park. Visit the Eluanbi light house, Maobitou coastal scenic area and Longpan Park. (B)

Day 6:
Taroko National Park

Get awed by “Taiwan’s last unspoilt land”, the East Coast National Scenic Area where weathering, erosion and accumulation have produced a wide range of landforms. This is prime aboriginal territory and home to some of the best surf breaks in Taiwan. Late in the evening, head out to the 1200 sq. km Taroko National Park that rises from sea level in the east to over 3700m further west. (B)

Day 7:
Taroko Gorge

Soak in nature at this splendid park that provides sanctuary for half the island’s plant and animal species. Gawk at the Taroko Gorge, an 18 km long exceptionally beautiful, narrow river-cut ravine in mountains of solid marble – many consider it to be one of Asia’s best scenic wonders. Head back after exploring the region to go out on town in Taipei and celebrate the completion of a fantastic tour of Taiwan. (B)

Day 8:
Back home

Chill out in the hotel and maybe stroll around the city till it is time for you to be transferred to the airport for your flight back home… with memories of a country whose awe-inspiring natural beauty is unforgettable… (B)
