Day 1:
Yangon

Arrive in Yangon (formerly Rangoon) to be welcomed at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Take in a city tour to marvel at the colonial heritage sights and the Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda with its 65m long reclining Buddha. End the day with a magnificent sunset at the world famous 2600 year old Shwedagon Pagoda… (B).

Day 2:
Bagan

Fly down to Bagan to visit the temple-studded plains of Bagan. Explore the 4000 ancient temples and learn the history and significance of each, some of them more than 1000 years old. Learn about the local crafts of lacquerware and looming in the evening from traditional artisans. (B).

Day 3:
Mount Popa

Drive down to Mount Popa, an ancient volcano reaching a mile into the sky from the flat plains of central Burma, known as “Home of the Spirits”. Observe the local rural life and climb up the 777 steps to the monastery on top for a taste of silent peace and an awesome view of Bagan and the plains…

Get back to Bagan in the evening for some e-biking around the ancient structures and end the day with a lovely sunset over Old Bagan and the Irrawaddy river to the west. (B).

Day 4:
Mandalay

Fly to Mandalay and head out on an excursion to Mingun by boat to visit the Unfinished Magnificent Temple of Pa Hto Daw Gyi, Mingun bell (the world’s biggest ringing bell weighing about 90 ton) and the MyaThein Tan pagoda… Back in Mandalay, visit the Mahamuni Buddha Image and check in to your hotel. After a bit of relaxation, head out to see the Kuthodaw Pagoda (the world biggest book), the ShweKyaung (Golden Monastery) and the Kyauktawgyi Pagoda (huge Buddha image). End the day with another glorious sunset at Mandalay Hill. (B).

Day 5:
Mahaghandayon Monastery

Visit the Mahaghandayon monastery, which is the biggest Monastery in Myanmar over 1000 monks, and proceed to Sagaing to see the KaungHmuDaw Pagoda, Sagaing Hill and the Umin Thonese. Drive on to Amarapura, to visit a traditional weaving factory and shop if you like. Catch the sunset at the U Bein’s Bridge, a 200 year old wooden bridge. (B).

Day 6:
Inle Lake

Fly to Heho and drive to the beautiful Inle Lake, 900 meter above sea level, nestled amidst the mountains. Check into your hotel and then proceed for a boat trip on the Inle Lake to see the PhaungDawOo Pagoda, Floating Gardens & Plantation, Cheroot Making, Silversmith, Cotton & Silk Hand Weaving and NgaPheChaung Monastery (Jumping Cats). Oh and of course, catch the famous leg-rowing boatmen in action on the Lake… (B).

Day 7:
Yangon

Fly back to Yangon for a relaxed day after a tight 3 days of touring around. Take in the vibe of the city strolling around the city, window-shopping and souvenir shopping at the Bogyoke market and China Town area… (B).

Day 8:
Bago

Drive out for a day-trip to Bago to see the World War II War Cemetery, Shwmadaw Pagoda, Kyaik Pun Pagoda, ShwethaHlyaung (Reclining Buddha Image) and the Kanbawzathadi Palace. (B).

Day 9:
Departure

Head out to the airport for your flight back home after a magical immersive experience in Myanmar that we assure you, will not be easy to forget… (B).
