Istanbul to Malatya
Fly via Istanbul to Malatya, get received at Malatya airport, get transferred to your hotel and embark on a sight-seeing tour of the city of Malatya. (D).
Head out on a trip to the famous UNESCO World Heritage site of the 1st century BC structures on Mount Nemrut. (B, D).
Drive to Divrigi to visit the Grand Mosque (another UNESCO heritage site). Visit Sivas, the old city from the Seltjuk period with the Grand Mosque, Buruciye Medrese, Sifahiye Medrese, Gök Medrese and the archaeological museum. (B, D).
Head to Bogazkale, visiting enroute, Hattusa, the former capital of the Hittite Empire and Yazilikaya, the open air temple of the Hittites. (B, D).
Visit the early bronze-age centre of Alacahöyük before proceeding to Amasya to witness the splendour of the castle and the Hellenistic rock cut tombs. (B, D).
Explore the old town of Amasya with its unique wooden houses, mosques and medreses. Then drive over Samsun to Sinop. (B, D).
City centre of Sinop
Drive around the city centre of Sinop and visit the archaeological and ethnographical museum. Take a short boat trip at the black sea coast of Sinop and visit the Erfelek Waterfall. (B, D).
Mansions of Köpekcioglu and Balabanoglu
Head out to Daday to explore the town and visit the mansions of Köpekcioglu and Balabanoglu and Mahmut Bey Mosque. (B, D).
Easy hiking in Ballidag close to Daday. Visit a carpenter workshop that makes the wooden handmade products that Daday is famous for. (B, D).
Drive to Safranbolu to explore this old town with its fabulous wooden mansions. Head to Istanbul in the evening… (B).
Istanbul – City Tour
Embark on a city tour of this ancient city covering the Sultan Ahmet Square, Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, the fountain of Emperor Wilhelm, Hagia Sophia, former Church of the Holy Wisdom and the Topkapi Palace Museum (B).
Istanbul – Asian side
Visit the Asian side of Istanbul with the Camlica Hill, Beylerbeyi Palace, Grand Bazaar
and Eyüp district. (B).
Transfer to the Airport and fly back home with a feeling of having stepped into and out of a time warp, after a first-hand brush with the history and culture of an ancient time and place.
